Our client is a global player in the field of office furniture. They have offices all over the world. They deliver through a large dealer network but also directly to the end customer. For the office in Amsterdam they have a vacancy in the customer operations department for a sales support employee. You will be responsible for supporting the various responsibilities and assignments in the entire sales process, from quotation to delivery, in an adequate manner, in consultation with the commercial field staff.

Wat ga je doen?

  • You are the fixed telephone and e-mail contact for relations, customers and suppliers and you maintain these contacts.
  • You are responsible for the correct handling of orders and quotations and are responsible for the administrative handling (checking purchase orders, follow-up and coordination between the parties involved – suppliers, subcontractors, transporters and project managers – in order to achieve a thorough planning) to come in for placement of an order.
  • Support of the sales team. This includes:
    • advising both dealer and direct customer about the product;
    • handling the desired correspondence;
    • requesting prices from suppliers and subcontractors;
    • preparation, processing and follow-up of quotations – including price calculation as well as PowerPoint presentations;
    • adequate handling of complaints;
    • management of customer files;
    • requesting and checking the execution documents;
    • preparing the invoicing after delivery.

Wie ben jij?

You meet the following job requirements:

  • You have an MBO 4 level completed with at least a first experience in a similar position.
  • Some technical affinity or experience, in addition to an excellent command of the Dutch and English languages – German is an advantage.
  • Combining a critical eye with a sense of initiative in order to offer an optimal service to our customers.
  • Experience with time pressure and a thorough and accurate monitoring of progress.
  • Be able to work smoothly with the Microsoft Office package (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
